Health check-up camp organised at Maharana Pratap Public School in Singhwa

Singhwa (KANGRA): A health check-up camp was conducted on Tuesday (February 25, 2025) at Maharana Pratap Public School under the leadership of Dr Dolima and Dr Vishal Pathania.

The camp aimed at assessing the overall health of students and spreading awareness about hygiene and preventive healthcare.

As part of the initiative, the height and weight of all students were recorded and their dental health, ears and other vital health parameters were examined.

The doctors emphasised the importance of oral hygiene, advising students to brush their teeth twice a day and wash their hands before meals. They also demonstrated the proper steps for handwashing to prevent infections.

Beyond basic hygiene, the doctors educated students on crucial first-aid measures, including precautions to take in case of dog bites and snake bites. They also raised awareness about tuberculosis (TB), explaining its symptoms and urging students to seek medical advice if any signs appear.

Addressing the gathering, Colonel SS Rana highlighted the significance of such health camps in schools. He stressed that regular health programmes helped in early detection and prevention of health issues among children, ensuring their well-being and better academic performance.
