Winter has arrived early in the tribal region of Pangi Valley, Chamba district, with the season’s first heavy snowfall blanketing the area. Fresh snow began late last night, covering the valley in a white sheet.

In Sural, nearly 3 inches of fresh snow was recorded, while the Bairagarh–Sach Pass–Killar road witnessed up to 1 foot of snowfall, disrupting vehicular movement and cutting off connectivity.

The sudden spell has intensified cold conditions across the valley, with temperatures dropping sharply. Residents are bracing for an early onset of winter as the region experiences its first major snowfall of the season.
