In a decisive move against drug trafficking, seized narcotics from dozens of NDPS Act cases were incinerated in the presence and virtual guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. This action reinforced the state government’s Zero Tolerance policy against narcotics and sent a strong message to drug cartels and peddlers.

The total estimated market value of the destroyed narcotics was approximately ₹65.33 lakh.
Officials emphasized that the purpose was not only safe disposal of seized drugs but also to deliver a powerful social message:
- To drug mafias: Himachal Pradesh has declared a decisive war against narcotics, leaving no space for illegal trade.

- To society: Encouraging collective participation of schools, panchayats, and families in building a vigilant, drug-free community.
On this occasion, Nasha Nivaran Samiti meetings were held across 22 highly affected panchayats in Nurpur, discussing strategies for strict ground-level implementation of the Zero Tolerance policy. Additionally, all schools, colleges, and government offices in the district administered an Anti-Chitta e-pledge to unite against drug abuse.
