The results of the Shahpur Nagar Panchayat elections have been declared, with Congress-backed candidates securing an impressive victory in five out of seven wards. This strong performance has reinforced the party’s hold in the region.
Following the announcement, all victorious Congress candidates gathered at the main party office in Ret to meet popular local MLA, Kewal Singh Pathania. The MLA warmly welcomed the newly elected councillors with traditional celebrations, garlands, and sweets.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Shahpur, Pathania said the victory reflects both development and public trust. He urged the councillors to serve the community with dedication and integrity.

- Ward No. 1: Abhishek Mathur (won by 21 votes)
- Ward No. 2: Anupama (won by 41 votes)
- Ward No. 3: Babita Sharma (won by 75 votes)
- Ward No. 4: Preeti Parihar (won by 73 votes)
- Ward No. 5: Rajiv Patial (won by 201 votes)
- Ward No. 6: Nitin (won by 52 votes)
- Ward No. 7: Vijay Guleria (won by 137 votes)
