A three‑day awareness and registration camp under the Seva Setu initiative will be held at the Electricity Board Rest House, Jasur, from October 13 to 15. The camp, organized by the Nurpur Electricity Division of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, aims to promote the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme and provide consumers with both technical and financial guidance. The camp will run daily from 11 AM to 4 PM.

Additional Superintending Engineer Vikas Thakur informed that on‑the‑spot registration facilities will be available. Dedicated help desks will assist consumers in submitting online applications on the national portal. Representatives of government‑listed solar companies will also be present to explain rooftop capacity, installation costs, equipment warranties, and net‑metering benefits.

Officials from major banks including State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank will provide details about solar loans and eligibility criteria. Advisory desks will further guide consumers on central subsidies, scheme rules, and advantages of net‑metering.

Thakur appealed to domestic electricity consumers of Nurpur and nearby areas to attend the camp and bring their latest electricity bill along with Aadhaar card for registration. He emphasized that rooftop solar plants under the scheme can help households save on electricity bills, while surplus power can be supplied to the grid as per regulations.
