The results of the Nurpur Municipal Council elections have been declared, marking a strong performance by Congress-supported candidates. Out of nine wards, six were won by Congress-backed representatives, while three went to BJP-supported candidates.
Ward-wise Results:
- Ward 1: Seema (Congress-supported) won by 149 votes.
- Ward 2: Rajni Mahajan (BJP-supported) won by 64 votes.
- Ward 3: Ekta Mehra (Congress-supported) won by 188 votes.
- Ward 4: Neeti Mahajan (Congress-supported) won by 264 votes.
- Ward 5: Ranjana Sharma (BJP-supported) won by 135 votes.
- Ward 6: Sonia Soga (Congress-supported) won by 202 votes.
- Ward 7: Anamika (Congress-supported) won by 299 votes.
- Ward 8: Chirag Gupta (BJP-supported) won by 204 votes.
- Ward 9: Ashwani Daffa (Congress-supported) secured victory by just one vote, making it the closest contest of the election.
The results reflect a clear edge for Congress in the Nurpur region, with several wards witnessing decisive margins.
