On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse, the Sanatan Dharma Sabha Kutpalihan, in collaboration with Dalhousie Hill Top School, successfully organized the fifth annual mega blood donation camp. The central theme of the event was “Say No to Drugs, Donate Blood; Respect Humanity.”

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, social organizations, and local citizens, resulting in the donation of 40 units of blood — a remarkable example of service and social responsibility.

Head of Dalhousie Hill Top School, Mr. Sudhir Dhaval, graced the event as Chief Guest. Special guests included Colonel Pradeep Sharma from 323 Brigade, SDM Dalhousie Mr. Anil Bhardwaj, and Welfare Department representative Mr. Kesar Ji. All dignitaries urged the youth to stay away from the menace of drugs and instead contribute actively to blood donation, social service, and nation-building.

A drug-free pledge ceremony was also held in the school premises, where teachers, staff, and students joined hands with Sanatan Dharma Sabha to commit themselves to building a healthy, addiction-free society. The pledge was administered by SDM Mr. Anil Bhardwaj, with Colonel Pradeep Sharma emphasizing that students are the nation’s invaluable strength and must adopt a life of character, health, and discipline.

The blood donation camp was conducted under the medical supervision of the Blood Bank team from Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College & Hospital, Chamba, led by Mr. Vivek. The team ensured safe and efficient collection of blood units.

The initiative was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Sabha’s founder Mr. Darshan Sharma, President Pandit Aman Shastri, Vice President Mr. Sunil Sharma, Secretary Mr. Vijay Sharma, Assistant Secretary Mr. Vinod Sharma, and other office bearers and members.

In his vote of thanks, President Pandit Aman Shastri expressed gratitude to Dalhousie Hill Top School, its management, teachers, staff, and students for sponsoring and supporting the campaign. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to the dignitaries, the Chamba Blood Bank team, the administration, the army, the health department, media representatives, and all donors for their invaluable contribution.

The event concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen service, awareness, moral values, and humanity through campaigns like blood donation and drug-free initiatives, ensuring that the youth play an active role in building a healthy, strong, and addiction-free India.
