Gaggal (Kangra): The condition of the road leading to Sonara village has deteriorated severely, causing daily hardships for residents. This road connects three villages, but large potholes and muddy stretches have made it unsafe for schoolchildren, vehicles, and pedestrians. During the rainy season, the situation worsens, with slippery mud leading to frequent falls and injuries.

Villagers invited APMC Chairman Nishu Mogra to the site and highlighted the dire state of the road. The newly elected Panchayat Pradhan and Up-Pradhan were also present. Residents explained that despite repeated complaints to the Panchayat and concerned departments, no concrete action has been taken so far. Schoolchildren face delays in reaching classes, and transporting elderly patients to hospitals has become extremely difficult.

On the spot, Nishu Mogra assured the villagers that he would raise the issue strongly with officials and representatives. He promised that within two days, thick gravel would be laid on the road as a temporary relief measure. However, villagers including Kapil, Ranjit Rana, Vitta, Ajay Kumar, Rajendra Kaur, Manjula Rana, Rita Kumari, Radha, Sumangla Devi, Sudarshana Devi, Anta Kumari, Sharda Devi, Bhajer Singh, Shivani, Rajiv Kumar, Avtar Singh, Ashwini Kumar, Vinay Kumar, and others warned that if the problem is not resolved before the monsoon, they will be forced to launch an agitation.
