Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri inspected the ongoing construction of Himachal Pradesh’s first sensor-based Driving Training Track and Traffic Park at Roda in Haroli, being built at a cost of ₹6.50 crore. He directed officials and the construction agency to accelerate the pace of work while ensuring that quality standards are strictly maintained.

Agnihotri said the project is set to become a model facility for the entire state, equipped with the latest technology for licence trials, automated vehicle testing and passing, and advanced road-safety training systems. The park will feature a sensor-enabled setup for transparent and efficient driving tests, alongside provisions for awareness programmes aimed at promoting safe driving practices.

The Deputy Chief Minister added that the technology-driven mechanism will make the licence issuance process faster, fairer and more accountable. It will also enhance the efficiency of vehicle fitness checks, ultimately contributing to improved road safety across the state.

Highlighting the rapid development of the Haroli region, Agnihotri said the upcoming traffic park will not only strengthen road-safety infrastructure but also create new avenues for youth in training and employment.
