Orientation Program Welcomes New Students at Govt. Arya College, Nurpur

The B.Voc Department of Government Arya College, Nurpur organized an orientation program for newly admitted students of the 2026–27 session. The event aimed to familiarize students with the structure of the B.Voc curriculum, industrial requirements, and employment opportunities.

The program was chaired by Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Thakur, who delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the features, subjects, and career prospects of the B.Voc degree through a PowerPoint session.

Dr. Thakur emphasized that modern education is not limited to imparting knowledge but also focuses on developing job-oriented vocational skills, enabling students to directly contribute to the industrial workforce.

Students were informed about opportunities for industrial visits, guest lectures, and on-the-job training, which provide valuable hands-on experience.

Nodal Officer Manjeet Singh also addressed the gathering, stating that the course not only enhances employability but also plays a vital role in personality development. Final-year students shared their experiences and encouraged newcomers to focus on career building.

The event saw active participation from Professor Surjit Singh, Trainers Ankush Mahajan, Vijender Singh, Mukesh Kumar, Shammi Kumar, Abhishek Sharma, Pankaj, along with other faculty members, non-teaching staff, and a large number of students.
