A massive landslide in Khlog village under Charodi Gram Panchayat of Churah subdivision has put nearly eight families at serious risk.
Debris and rocks continue to tumble down from the hillside above the settlement, reportedly triggered by persistent rainfall over the past few days. The landslide has been advancing directly toward residential areas, intensifying at night and forcing villagers to spend sleepless nights in fear.
Several concrete houses are now within the danger zone. Locals warn that without immediate intervention from the administration, a major disaster could occur. Residents have appealed for urgent construction of protective retaining walls, drainage channels, and embankments to safeguard lives and property.
Villagers stressed that the monsoon season has heightened the threat to both life and livelihood, and demanded a permanent solution to prevent further damage and ensure the safety of the entire community.
