Jagdambe Temple Committee Plans Cultural Tour and Social Welfare Programs in Dalhousie, Chamba, and Khajjiar

The famous Khajjiar picnic spot, popularly known as Mini Switzerland, is home to the revered Jai Jagdambe Temple, which attracts every visitor to Dalhousie and Khajjiar seeking the blessings of Goddess Jagdambe. The temple enjoys immense faith and popularity, with members from across different states of India.

According to Advocate Rajendra Pal Gupta, General Secretary of the Jai Jagdambe Temple Committee, a special program has been planned to acquaint committee members from various states with the rich culture of Himachal Pradesh and Chamba district.

Program Highlights:

  • June 26: Members will arrive at Pathankot and proceed to Dalhousie. After sightseeing, a Mata Ji’s Chowki will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Gurudwara Singh Sabha Hall, Dalhousie Cantonment, with devotional singing by Rakesh & Party. Dinner (prasadam) and night stay in Dalhousie will follow.
  • June 27: Members will visit Taleru Boating Point near Dalhousie, then proceed to Chamba, where they will enjoy traditional Chaba Dham at Iravati Hotel. Later, they will reach Jai Jagdambe Temple, Khajjiar, where an all-night Jagran and bhajans will be performed by Rakesh & Party. A community feast (bhandara) will be organized for all devotees.
  • June 28: A medical camp will be held at the temple premises, offering free medicines. Eye check-ups will be conducted at the Amar Shaheed Lala Jagat Narayan Eye Hospital located within the temple complex. Patients requiring surgery will be operated free of cost in Pathankot, and those needing spectacles will be provided them free of charge. Additionally, clothes and other essential items will be distributed to the needy.

This initiative reflects the temple committee’s commitment not only to spiritual enrichment but also to social welfare and community service, blending devotion with humanitarian efforts.
