Dharamshala/Kangra: Dr. Rajesh Sharma, known for his fervor in politics, was initially considered a contender for parliamentary tickets. However, with the announcement of Anand Sharma’s candidacy, Dr. Rajesh has thrown his full support behind Anand Sharma.
Dr. Rajesh was observed canvassing in his hometown Kangra, soliciting votes for Anand Sharma. His previous involvement in the 2022 assembly elections from Dehra significantly bolstered the Congress vote bank.
During a recent gathering with party workers, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, motivated the workers and provided essential guidance.
While campaigning for Congress candidate Satpal Rajyada in the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, Dr. Sharma urged citizens to participate in the Jan Sampark Abhiyan across various regions. Additionally, he convened a meeting with Congress workers to boost morale and offer direction for the upcoming elections.
Dr. Sharma criticized the decade-long tenure of the Modi government, citing its failure to meet public expectations. He underscored that the promises made by the government turned out to be hollow, leading to public disillusionment. Accusing BJP leaders of neglecting public sentiments, he highlighted their tendency to make empty promises. Dr. Sharma emphasized that instead of focusing on development, BJP is exacerbating communal tensions.
Asserting that BJP’s unfulfilled promises have left them with only communal issues to campaign on, Dr. Sharma noted a growing wave of change among the electorate.
He expressed confidence in Congress’s prospects, predicting victories in both Lok Sabha and assembly by-polls due to overwhelming public support.
