At Bhadiyada village playground, fencing work was inaugurated by Chaudhary Narendra Nishu Mongra, District President of APMC and State Congress OBC Department President. The event witnessed a warm welcome from villagers and local representatives.

In his address, Mongra highlighted the historic decision of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who approved compensation for families owning houses built on government land under Kangra Airport jurisdiction. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the affected families, noting that this move has brought immense relief and joy to the people of Gaggal.

Mongra criticized past political practices, stating that for fourteen years, the issue of Kangra Airport was used merely for political gains without genuine progress. He emphasized that the current government’s decision will not only accelerate the airport expansion project but also safeguard the interests of affected families.

The administration has begun verification and formal procedures to ensure swift distribution of the approved compensation. The government has sanctioned ₹16.76 crore for shopkeepers and others running structures on government land in Gaggal.

Mongra further added that the Sukhu government is committed to the welfare of every section of society, working shoulder to shoulder with the people. He remarked that while the government is beautifying playgrounds and creating new opportunities for players, those who attempt to exploit politics for personal gain will be shown the way out by the public.
