In accordance with directives issued by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), New Delhi, and the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Shimla, a National Lok Adalat will be organized on September 12, 2026, across all district courts and subordinate courts in Himachal Pradesh.
The announcement was made by Shri R. Mihul Sharma, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kangra at Dharamshala.
Wide Range of Disputes Covered
A variety of pending cases and pre-litigation disputes will be taken up for amicable settlement during the Lok Adalat, including:
Bank loan and recovery matters
Labour disputes
Electricity and water bill disputes
Matrimonial and family disputes
Cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the NI Act
Pending court cases as well as pre-litigation matters
Parties seeking to resolve issues through mutual consent prior to initiating formal court litigation can file an application directly with the concerned court.
