As part of the 60-day “Chitta Mukt Nurpur, Nasha Mukt Nurpur” campaign being conducted by the Idea of Bharat Foundation (IBF), an anti-drug awareness program was organized in Ladori Panchayat, marking the campaign’s outreach to its 22nd panchayat.
During the drive, volunteers and community leaders conducted door-to-door awareness activities, educating residents about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging collective efforts to build a drug-free society.
The campaign witnessed active participation from Gram Panchayat Pradhan Sanju Kumar, Akash Sharma, and ward members, who interacted with local residents and urged them to stay away from substance abuse while motivating youth to engage in positive and productive activities.
A special awareness session was also held at Government Senior Secondary School, Ladori, where students were informed about the dangers of chitta and other narcotic substances. Speakers highlighted the negative impact of addiction on health, education, and overall life. Students were encouraged to actively participate in sports, education, and creative pursuits as healthy alternatives.
Addressing the gathering, IBF President Rahul Sharma said that families, panchayats, and educational institutions play a crucial role in the fight against drug abuse. He emphasized that spreading awareness among households and students can bring meaningful and lasting positive change to society.
He further stated that the Foundation aims to take the message of de-addiction to every panchayat and every young person in the Nurpur region, stressing that public support is essential for the success of the social campaign.
