Heavy rains in Dhar Kandi region once again unleashed devastation in Boh, Ron, Sapera, and Ghardghu villages. Landslides and debris from the hills damaged several homes, leaving families homeless and heartbroken as years of effort were swept away in moments.
District officials rushed to Boh in the afternoon to meet affected families. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also spoke to victims via video call, expressing deep condolences and assuring full support. He promised to personally visit the area soon.
Local MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, though away from the constituency, remained in constant touch with administration and party workers. He interacted with families through video call, assuring them that no one would be left alone in this crisis. Pathania directed Congress leaders and workers to immediately reach the affected villages and assist in relief efforts.
The Chief Minister has assured housing arrangements, financial aid, and up to ₹8 lakh support for families whose homes were completely destroyed. Meanwhile, the administration has set up relief camps at Government Senior Secondary School, Boh, providing shelter, food, and essential facilities for nearly 160 displaced people.
Congress leaders including District President Suresh Pataku, Surjit Rana, Pradeep Baloria, and others have mobilized relief work across Dhar Kandi and nearby panchayats. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi also spoke to families via video call, directing officials to prioritize every genuine demand and ensure no gaps in rehabilitation.
Pathania emphasized that the state government, administration, and Congress party stand like a rock beside every affected family. Relief and rehabilitation will continue until each family is safely resettled in their homes.
