The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) celebrated its 78th Foundation Day and National Students’ Day with a grand district-level event at the Government College Dharamshala auditorium.
The program was graced by Shri Umesh Dutt as the Chief Guest, while Shri Sunil Manocha presided as Chairperson. In his address, Manocha highlighted ABVP’s journey, its contributions to nation-building, and urged youth to remain committed to social service and national interest.
🎶 The event featured vibrant cultural performances including Punjabi dance, Gaddi dance, and melodious songs, which enthralled the audience. A large number of students participated enthusiastically. Alongside, ABVP Kangra organized a blood donation camp as part of its social responsibility initiative, where students, teachers, workers, and local youth volunteered to donate blood.
🏆 The District Kangra Swami Vivekananda General Knowledge Competition was also held. Winners included:
- 1st Place: Vatsal Raj (Green Field Sr. Sec. School, Nagrota)
- 2nd Place: Arushi Sharma (PM Shri Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Dharamshala)
- 3rd Place: Sukriti Jaryal (DAV Public School, Narwana) All winners were honored with prizes and certificates.
District Convener Ayush Chaudhary addressed the gathering, emphasizing ABVP’s 77-year legacy of promoting knowledge, character, and unity. He reiterated that empowered students are the foundation of a strong India, and thousands of ABVP volunteers across the nation continue to work tirelessly for student welfare, society, and national reconstruction.
