The Karuna Prem Education Assistance Trust, in collaboration with Khatri Sabha Mandi, provided ₹30,000 in educational assistance to three financially disadvantaged students at a programme held at Khatri Sabha Bhawan on Wednesday. Each student received ₹10,000 to support their educational needs.
Executive member Neeraj Handa highlighted that the trust has been consistently supporting education since 2022, extending annual financial aid to three to five students pursuing school, higher, and vocational studies.
Beyond education, Khatri Sabha Mandi continues its wider social welfare initiatives, contributing ₹31,000 monthly — including ₹1,000 each to four social organisations and ₹1,500 each to 18 needy individuals. Handa emphasized that the Sabha’s assistance is inclusive, extending beyond the Khatri community to help anyone in need.
The programme underscored the vital role of community organisations and charitable trusts in uplifting vulnerable sections of society.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Naresh Baidya (President, Khatri Sabha Mandi), Engineer N.D. Vaidya (Vice-President), M.P. Vaidya ‘Palu’ (General Secretary), Gopal Krishna Kapoor (Treasurer), along with other executive members.
