In a major breakthrough against the illegal drug trade, the CIA Team Nurpur has arrested two individuals with 41.40 grams of heroin (chitta).
Acting on its commitment to dismantle drug networks, the CIA team conducted a search at a residential house in Village Bhadroya. During the inspection, a packet concealed beneath a sewing machine stand was recovered. On examination, it was found to contain 41.40 grams of heroin, which was immediately seized by the police.
Accused Persons:
- Vanita Devi (43), wife of Shri Darbari Lal, resident of Ward No. 03, Bhadroya, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra.
- Aman (24), son of Shri Darbari Lal, resident of Ward No. 03, Bhadroya, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra.
A case has been registered against the accused at Police Station Damtal under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The police are now investigating the source of this consignment to trace the wider network involved.
The Nurpur Police reaffirmed their commitment to intensify the crackdown on narcotics and urged the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug activities.
