Dalhousie – Souvik, a young IDES officer from the 2023 batch, officially took charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dalhousie Cantonment on September 25. A native of Rajasthan, this marks his second posting and his first assignment as CEO. His previous posting was in Khadki Cantonment, Maharashtra, where he served as Joint CEO.
Local residents and citizens of Dalhousie Cantonment warmly welcomed Shri Souvik and extended their best wishes for his tenure. Speaking on the occasion, Souvik praised the lush greenery of Dalhousie and emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness and environmental preservation. He urged citizens to actively support the ongoing Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Campaign) in the cantonment.
To enhance public health services, Souvik announced plans to increase the availability of medicines and improve facilities at the Cantonment Hospital. He also shared that efforts will soon begin to affiliate the Class 10 section of the PM Shri School in Dalhousie Cantonment with a recognised education board, ensuring better academic opportunities for students.
Souvik’s proactive approach and commitment to civic welfare have been well received, setting a positive tone for his leadership in Dalhousie Cantonment.
