Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Durga Das Uikey, arrived in Chamba district today to assess the damage caused by recent natural disasters in the region.
Upon reaching the Katodi Bungalow area, the Minister was welcomed by Bharmour MLA Dr. Janak Raj and former MLA Vikram Singh Jaryal. Also present on the occasion were Dalhousie SDM Anil Bhardwaj, Tehsildar Ramesh Chauhan, and Block Development Officer Anil Gurada.
During his visit, the Minister conducted an on-ground inspection of the damaged stretches along National Highway 154A, particularly in the Dundiyara Bungalow area. He interacted with members of the Gujjar community and other affected residents, listening to their concerns and taking stock of the relief efforts underway.
