KANGRA: On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, a special yoga session was organised at Rose Public School-Sulyali in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.
The event began with a ceremonial inauguration by Principal Sanjay Souguni and Vice-Principal Babita Souguni, who together lit the lamp and set a thoughtful tone for the day.
The Principal shared that students from all classes enthusiastically participated in the workshop, which included a series of asanas, pranayama (breathing techniques) and guided meditation. Alongside the practical sessions, a discussion was held on the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga.
In his concluding address, the Principal emphasised that yoga is a timeless Indian tradition that plays a vital role in strengthening the mind, body and soul. “We must make yoga a regular part of our lifestyle to truly experience its transformative impact,” he advised students.
He also extended his heartfelt wishes on the occasion of International Yoga Day to all countrymen, local residents, parents, teachers, staff and students. The event saw the presence and active participation of all teaching staff, reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic education and well-being.
