In view of the upcoming Shri Manimahesh Yatra 2026, the Press Club Bharmaur convened an important meeting on Tuesday at the PWD Rest House, Bharmaur. The session was chaired by Press Club President Vinod Thakur, with local journalists participating to deliberate on the role of media during the pilgrimage. Discussions focused on news coverage, coordination with the administration, and ensuring timely and accurate information reaches devotees.
Following the meeting, a Press Club delegation met Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bharmaur, Vikas Sharma. The delegation raised key issues including smoother media coordination, effective information exchange, and facilitation of journalists’ movement during the Yatra. They emphasized that strong collaboration between the administration and media would help deliver authentic and timely updates to pilgrims.
ADM Vikas Sharma welcomed the suggestions, assuring that the administration is working in close coordination with all departments to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra. He acknowledged the media as an essential partner and promised full support during the pilgrimage.
Senior members including Uttam Thakur, Manoj Thakur, Mahinder Patyal, O.P. Sharma, and Pyar Singh were present at the meeting. The journalists collectively resolved to prioritize impartial, factual, and public-interest reporting throughout the Yatra, while maintaining constructive coordination with the administration.
