District & Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Mr. Chirag Bhanu Singh, has announced that a National Lok Adalat will be organized on May 9, 2026 in all District Courts and subordinate courts of Himachal Pradesh. The initiative is being conducted under the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Shimla.
During the Lok Adalat, cases related to banks, labour disputes, electricity and water bills, matrimonial issues, cheque bouncing matters, pre-litigation disputes, and other pending cases will be taken up for amicable settlement. Citizens willing to resolve disputes before filing a case may submit an application in the concerned court.

Mr. Singh has appealed to the general public to actively participate in the upcoming Lok Adalat, emphasizing its role in providing speedy and cost-effective justice.
