In accordance with the directions of the Himachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, a week-long campaign titled “Save Our Water: Preserve, Protect & Restore” was successfully conducted from April 20 to April 25, 2026, under the aegis of the District Legal Services Authority Kangra.
The campaign aimed to promote the conservation, protection, and restoration of natural water sources and water bodies. Across different areas of the district, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs), in collaboration with the Jal Shakti Department Himachal Pradesh, carried out cleaning drives at traditional water sources such as bawdis and other local water bodies.
During these activities, the general public was sensitized about the importance of water conservation and motivated to keep water sources clean and safe. The message was strongly conveyed that “Water is Life” and that collective efforts are essential for its preservation.
On this occasion, Shri R. Mihul Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Kangra at Dharamshala, emphasized that such campaigns not only spread awareness but also instill a sense of responsibility towards environmental protection. He appealed to all citizens to actively participate in water conservation initiatives and ensure the cleanliness and safety of natural water sources.
