Dharamshala: Manoj Kumar, a National Executive Member of Adivasi Congress, stated that candidates for the Dharamshala by-election should be trustworthy rather than purchasable.
He mentioned his 38 years of service to the party and expressed his intention to apply for the party ticket in the upcoming by-election. If given the opportunity, he assured that the seat would be secured for the Congress party.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday in Dharamshala, Manoj Kumar expressed pride in the enduring support and blessings received from the people of the Dharamshala and Shahpur assembly constituencies.
He recounted his candidacy in the 2012 assembly elections, where he was nominated by the party high command for the Dharamshala constituency but was later replaced by Sudhir Sharma after a brief period of campaign.
The heavy voter turnout during the short campaign period benefited the Congress candidate Sudhir. Manoj Kumar also praised the equal development initiatives undertaken by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in all districts over the past 14 months, highlighting the government’s prompt assistance to affected individuals during disasters.
