Himachal BJP leader slams Congress spokesperson’s remark against party’s Mandi LS candidate

Dharamshala: Media coordinator of Himachal Pradesh BJP, advocate Vishwa Chakshu expressed strong resentment over the remarks made by Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate against Kangana Ranaut, party’s candidate for Mandi LS seat.
He termed the comment highly unfortunate and emphasized that mere apology won’t suffice. The people of Himachal Pradesh will respond to Congress for its insensitivity, he added.
Chakshu, while criticizing Shrinate’s derogatory statement, highlighted her ignorance about Himachal Pradesh being revered as the land of gods and Mandi being referred to as ‘mini Kashi’. He condemned the disrespectful remarks as an insult to all women and accused Congress leaders of resorting to low-level politics instead of addressing developmental issues. He recalled a similar incident involving actress Urmila Matondkar, demanding appropriate action against such behavior.
Moreover, Chakshu pointed out that Shrinate, who currently heads the social media and digital platforms department of the Congress party, has exhibited the party’s deteriorating mindset. He lamented the fact that a woman had made derogatory remarks against another woman, labeling it as unfortunate.
