Temperatures rising in state due to sunny days

Shimla: Clear and sunny days have been forecast in Himachal Pradesh by the met department till Jan 15. Rain and snowfall have been ruled out for now.
The sunny days so far have resulted in the mercury rising in almost all parts of the state during the daytime.
The mercury has risen to 11.7 degrees C and 6.4 degrees C above normal in Keylong and Kalpa, respectively.
In Bhuntar and Kangra the maximum temperature recorded was 5.3 degrees above normal. In Dharamshala, Shimla, and Sundernagar the maximum temperature recorded was 4.4 degrees C, 4.1 degrees C and 4 degrees C above normal.
The maximum temperature in Shimla has reached 15 degrees C, 21.4 degrees C in Sundernagar, 11.8 degrees C in Kalpa, 20 degrees C in Dharamshala, 6.7 degrees C in Keylong, 21.3 degrees C in Kangra, 12 degrees C in Dalhousie and 15 degrees C in Rekong Peo.
The met department informed that in hilly regions the minimum temperature recorded at several places was above normal. In Shimla, the minimum temperature recorded on Wednesday night was 6.8 degrees C which was 4.1 degrees C above normal.
In Kalpa, the minimum temperature recorded was zero degrees C which was 4.3 degrees above normal.
In Keylong, the minimum temperature was minus 6.1 degrees C which was 3.9 degrees above normal.
Dalhousie recorded a minimum temperature of 6.4 degrees C which was 4 degrees above normal.
A minimum temperature of minus 0.7 degrees C was recorded in Mandi, 0.4 degrees C in Manali, and 6.2 degrees C in Dharamshala.
