The seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp at Government Senior Secondary School, Chauri, concluded today with a grand closing ceremony. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Anoop Kumar, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Hamirpur.
In his address, Dr. Anoop Kumar inspired the volunteers by emphasizing the importance of moral values, discipline, and social service. He praised the diverse social and community-oriented activities carried out by NSS volunteers during the camp and encouraged them to continue fulfilling their responsibilities towards society in the future.
Programme Officer Mr. Kulbhushan presented a detailed report of the camp, highlighting the activities conducted and the enthusiastic participation of the volunteers. Principal Mrs. Sarita Dubey welcomed and expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, while also appreciating the contributions of teachers, officials, and volunteers in making the camp a success.
The ceremony was attended by Vice Principal Mr. Kuldeep Kumar, Mr. Sanjeev Katna, Mrs. Meena Sharma, Mrs. Renu Thakur, Mrs. Sonvachna, Mrs. Vandana Kumari, along with other faculty members and staff. NSS volunteers presented vibrant cultural performances in honor of the Chief Guest, which captivated the audience and received widespread appreciation.
The seven-day camp strengthened the spirit of service, discipline, leadership, social responsibility, and national dedication among the volunteers, leaving a lasting impact on their personal and community values.
