The Energy Club of Government Arya College, Nurpur, celebrated Renewable Energy Day today with great enthusiasm by organizing a poster‑making competition on the theme “Renewable Energy: Power for a Sustainable Future.”
A total of 36 students participated, showcasing vibrant and thought‑provoking posters highlighting solar energy, wind energy, energy conservation, and sustainable development. More than 50 students attended the event to encourage the participants.
The competition was judged by Prof. Reema Kumari and Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar, who carefully evaluated the entries before announcing the results:
- First Prize: Pooja — B.Com. Final Year
- Second Prize: Kashish Baloria — B.Sc. First Semester
- Third Prize (Joint): Navida, Abhishek, and Keshav — B.Sc. Second Semester
Chief Guest Dr. Diljit Singh, Acting Principal of the college, addressed the gathering, inspiring students to adopt renewable energy in daily life and to practice energy conservation. He emphasized the importance of renewable energy in building a clean and green future and presented prizes to the winners.
The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Prof. Shashi Bala, Prof. Alka, and Dr. Kumari Seema, members of the Energy Club.
At the conclusion, all students and staff took an energy conservation pledge, committing themselves to the wise use and preservation of energy resources.
