Secretary of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kangra, Shri R. Mihul Sharma, informed that under the guidance of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and its Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee, the “Mediation for the Nation 3.0” campaign has been launched.
The campaign is being conducted across all taluka courts and the District Court in Kangra, with the primary objective of ensuring quick, simple, and effective resolution of long‑pending cases through mediation and conciliation.
Shri Sharma highlighted that disputes related to marriage and family matters, motor accident claims, domestic violence, cheque bounce cases, commercial disputes, service matters, compoundable criminal cases, consumer disputes, loan recovery, partition, eviction, land acquisition, and other suitable civil cases are being settled amicably under this initiative.
He further explained that mediation is an alternative dispute resolution process where trained mediators assist parties in resolving conflicts through dialogue and mutual agreement. The process is confidential, cost‑effective, time‑saving, and helps preserve relationships while reducing the burden on courts.
Appealing to the citizens of Kangra, Shri Sharma urged them to take maximum benefit of this campaign and adopt mediation for the peaceful, speedy, and satisfactory settlement of their pending matters. He emphasized that this initiative is a significant step towards providing accessible, affordable, and effective justice to the public.
