The Pensioners’ Welfare Association Bharmour held an important meeting on Tuesday at Chaurasi Hotel under the chairmanship of Association President Dheeraj Thakur. Several significant resolutions concerning pensioners’ welfare were passed unanimously after detailed discussions.
The meeting strongly demanded simplification of the annual life certificate submission process. Members noted that elderly and ailing pensioners face considerable difficulties in completing this requirement, and urged the government to reinstate a more convenient system as practiced earlier, to spare senior citizens unnecessary hardship.
The Association also called for the speedy settlement of pending financial benefits and other matters related to employees who retired after 2016. It appealed to the government to ensure time-bound resolution of all outstanding pensioners’ cases.
Another resolution sought early release of the upcoming installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) due from August 15, to provide relief to retirees amid rising inflation.
President Dheeraj Thakur emphasized that the Association remains committed to safeguarding pensioners’ interests and will continue to raise their concerns effectively before the government and relevant departments.
Those present at the meeting included General Secretary Krishan Thakur, Treasurer Makhouli Ram Patyal, Senior Vice President Chain Singh Thakur, Tara Chand Thakur, Hari Lal, Jagmal Singh, Uttam Singh, Radheshyam Singh, Narayan Singh, Yoganand Verma, Santosh Kumar, and other members of the Association.
