The ongoing “Nasha Mukt Nurpur, Chitta Mukt Nurpur” 60‑day campaign, launched by the Idea of Bharat Foundation on September 20, reached its 10th panchayat — Kot‑Palahri. Local residents gathered to discuss the challenges of drug abuse, the future of youth, and society’s collective responsibility in tackling the issue.
Panchayat leaders including Pradhan Kamlesh Rani, Deputy Pradhan Kuldeep Singh Thakur, Rajiv Kumar, Surjan, and Dev Raj Chak joined villagers in pledging to strengthen awareness and guide youth toward positive activities.

Foundation President Rahul Sharma emphasized that reaching 10 panchayats reflects growing community participation. He noted the campaign’s aim is not only to highlight the harms of drugs but also to involve youth, families, and panchayats in finding solutions. He urged linking young people with sports, education, skills, and creative pursuits as a vital step in prevention.
The campaign will continue with dialogues and awareness programs in upcoming panchayats, reinforcing the collective resolve for a drug‑free Nurpur.
