To commemorate 75 years of the revered discourses of Param Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmaya Nanda Ji, a large-scale plantation campaign has been launched by Chinmaya Gramin Vikas Khand, Siddhbari Tapovan. As part of the initiative, two lakh women were blessed with two saplings each.
The campaign is being carried out across 184 panchayats in 11 blocks of Kangra district. According to organizers, nearly 56,000 members of women’s groups are actively planting saplings. Each plantation ceremony included chanting in Gurudev’s name, recitation of Geeta Panchamrit, and traditional worship of the saplings before planting.
The Chinmaya Mahotsav also features cultural and spiritual programs such as Kod Bhavan, Hanuman Yajna, and Geeta Panchamrit sessions in various panchayats. Organizers say the initiative not only honors Gurudev’s legacy but also strengthens community participation in environmental conservation.
