The beautification project at the historic Chaurasi Temple complex in Bharmour is progressing rapidly, with ₹12 lakh being spent on various enhancement works. Additional District Magistrate Bharmour, Vikas Sharma, informed that the development is being carried out on a war footing to preserve and improve the temple’s surroundings.
He further stated that, as per the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Chamba, the maintenance responsibility of public toilets located under Gram Panchayats Bharmaur and Sanchui has now been handed over to the respective Panchayats. Earlier, these facilities were managed by the Special Area Development Authority (SADA) Bharmour.
The ADM added that frequent complaints regarding toilet maintenance had been received from Panchayat representatives. To ensure timely resolution, citizens can now report sanitation-related issues via WhatsApp at 8627050084, a number issued by Gram Panchayat Bharmour. Reported problems will be reviewed and addressed weekly by the ADM office.
