Inder Singh on Friday assumed charge as Assistant Public Relations Officer (APRO), Sundernagar, in the Information and Public Relations Department. The post had been lying vacant since November 2021.
A departmental officer with nearly 18 years of experience, Singh began his career as a Project Operator in the department’s technical wing at Gohar in Mandi district in 2008. He later served in various capacities, including at Karsog and the District Public Relations Office in Mandi.
Recently promoted from the post of Technical Assistant, Singh has been posted to Sundernagar as APRO. During his service, he has worked in different parts of Mandi district and other remote areas of the state.
After taking charge, Singh said his priority would be to ensure the timely dissemination of information related to government welfare schemes, development programmes and public policies. He said efforts would also be made to strengthen communication between the government and the public through effective outreach activities.
Officials and employees of the department congratulated Singh on assuming his new assignment.
