Basis of Action:
Nurpur Police invoked the PIT NDPS Act considering the offenders’ repeated criminal activities, their tendency to relapse into drug trafficking, and the harmful impact on youth. Alongside regular legal proceedings, this special preventive measure was deemed essential for public safety.
The Superintendent of Police, Nurpur, reaffirmed that the police remain uncompromising against drug traffickers. Continuous surveillance is being maintained on other individuals and kingpins involved in the illegal trade. Preventive actions of this nature will continue to safeguard society and secure the future of young generations.
