The two-day Annual Sports Competition 2025–26 at Government College Bharmour concluded on Saturday with finals in track and field events including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m races, shot put, javelin throw, high jump, and long jump.
In the women’s 100m race, Khushi secured first place, followed by Manisha in second and Shabnam in third. In the men’s 1500m race, Suraj clinched the top spot, Kartik came second, and Nitin finished third.
College Principal Dr. Hemantpal, who attended as the chief guest, emphasized that sports are vital for the holistic development of students. He encouraged them to adopt discipline, hard work, and team spirit as guiding principles in life.
Assistant Professor Swaroop Kumar presented the annual sports report, while event coordinator Vivek Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
The event was attended by NSS volunteers, faculty members including Dr. Rajendra Singh, Naresh Kumar, Vivek Kumar, Vishal Ahir, Dr. Arvind Thooktan, and non-teaching staff.
