Newly Elected Panchayat Representatives Announced in Bharmaur Block

Following the first phase of Panchayat Elections 2026 held on 26 May, the official list of newly elected representatives across 16 Gram Panchayats in Bharmaur block has been released. The notification was issued by Block Development Officer Tavinder Kumar, confirming the names of elected Pradhans, Up-Pradhans, and ward members.

The Panchayats where new leadership has been chosen include Badgram, Durgethi, Ghared, Hadsar, Holi, Jagat, Kugti, Kulet, Kuwarsi, Nyagra, Poolan, Sanh, Tundah, Ullansa, Sehli, and Gronda.

  1. Badgram Panchayat – Ashok Kumar, village Khanvagga
  2. Durgethi Panchayat – Pyaru Ram, village Durgethi
  3. Ghared Panchayat – Meena Kumari, village Panjsei
  4. Hadsar Panchayat – Rajni Devi, village Hadsar
  5. Holi Panchayat – Laxmi Devi, village Holi
  6. Jagat Panchayat – Madhu Devi, village Urei
  7. Kugti Panchayat – Reena Devi, village Kugti
  8. Kulet Panchayat – Shyam Lal, village Kulet
  9. Kuwarsi Panchayat – Kamal Kishore, village Hiling
  10. Nyagra Panchayat – Anju Devi, village Ghado
  11. Poolan Panchayat – Angrez Singh, village Barga
  12. Sanh Panchayat – Bhuri Singh, village Odi
  13. Tundah Panchayat – Prashotam Kumar, village Silpadi
  14. Ullansa Panchayat – Pinki Devi, village Satanala
  15. Sehli Panchayat – Devendra Kumar, village Marugda
  16. Gronda Panchayat – Kavita Devi, village Dhardi

The announcement has sparked celebrations across villages, with supporters welcoming victorious candidates with garlands and warm wishes. Citizens have also voiced expectations for employment opportunities for youth, improved facilities for women, and priority to basic infrastructure such as roads, water, health, and education.

Observers note that this election saw greater participation of women and youth, with several women securing leadership positions — a development hailed as a step forward in grassroots empowerment.

Senior citizens and social organizations congratulated the winners, emphasizing that honest and active Panchayat leadership can bring transformative change in rural areas. Newly elected representatives pledged to ensure transparent governance, inclusive development, and effective delivery of government schemes to every household.
