The students of Govt. College of Teacher Education (GCTE), Dharamshala, made a remarkable impression at the Red Cross Mela organized by the District Red Cross Society on 7th April 2026.
Five talented students from the institute showcased their hobbies and creativity through an exhibition of more than 20 paintings and sketches. The artworks reflected the rich culture of Himachal Pradesh, including Kangra paintings, modern art, religious depictions, and intricate sketches. The response was overwhelming—eight paintings were sold, and three were reordered by visitors, highlighting the appreciation for the students’ artistic talent.

Adding to the vibrancy of the event, the cultural team of GCTE performed the traditional Himachali Natti, which enthralled the audience and set the entire gathering into a celebratory mood.
The stall attracted over 100 visitors, who admired the creative efforts of the students and encouraged them with heartfelt appreciation. Distinguished dignitaries including the Principal of GCTE, the Secretary of the Red Cross Society, the Chairperson of the Red Cross Welfare Society, the ADC Kangra, DC Kangra, and the Divisional Commissioner Kangra also visited the stall, commending the artistic and culturally enriching presentations.
