Himachal Pradesh is bracing for a sharp weather shift from March 26 onward, with alerts issued for rain, snowfall, and gusty winds across multiple districts. Residents should prepare for possible disruptions due to thunderstorms and cold conditions.
According to the India Meteorological Department the reagional updates are as:
- Two consecutive western disturbances will impact Himachal Pradesh starting March 26.
- Rain and thunderstorms are expected in the lower and middle hills, while snowfall is likely in higher altitudes.
- Gusty winds (40–50 km/h) and lightning are forecast across all districts except Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti on March 28.
- Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, and Mandi will see active weather on March 26.
