Havaldar Maqsood Deen, a native of Sadwan Panchayat in the Nurpur Assembly constituency, has been awarded the Sena Medal for his bravery and indomitable courage. The prestigious gallantry awards were announced on the eve of Republic Day by the Hon’ble President of India, in which Havaldar Maqsood Deen’s name was included.

Hailing from Sadwan, Havaldar Maqsood Deen received his early education at Government Senior Secondary School, Sadwan. Alongside his studies, he nurtured a strong determination to join the Indian Army. Fulfilling both his own dream and that of his family, he enlisted in the Army and dedicated himself to the service of the nation.

The honour has brought immense pride to the Nurpur region. Members of the intellectual community and representatives of Sadwan Panchayat extended heartfelt congratulations to Havaldar Maqsood Deen and his family. They stated that his achievement serves as a source of inspiration for the youth, encouraging them to work hard, stay disciplined, and strive to achieve their goals while serving the country with dedication and courage.
