Weather Alert : Possibility of Snowfall in Higher Altitudes

Shimla: The state anticipates adverse weather conditions on Tuesday, with light rain in central regions and the likelihood of snowfall in higher altitudes due to an active western disturbance. However, the weather is expected to clear up thereafter.
In the past 24 hours, a slight drop in temperatures has been recorded, especially in Shimla and other areas. Maximum temperatures have decreased, while minimum temperatures have experienced a slight decline, bringing about cooler conditions. In the last 24 hours, Shimla, the queen of the hills, saw a maximum temperature drop of 1.7 degrees Celsius, reaching 14.0 degrees Celsius. Similarly, Dharamshala recorded a decrease of 3.0 degrees Celsius, registering 18.0 degrees Celsius. Other parts of the state reported maximum temperatures of 18.2 degrees Celsius in Bhuntar, 23.0 degrees Celsius in Una, 7.9 degrees Celsius in Kullu, 12.4 degrees Celsius in Manali, 10.4 degrees Celsius in Dalhousie, and 14.9 degrees Celsius in Rekong Peo. Notably, Una recorded the highest maximum temperature at 23.0 degrees Celsius, while Samdho in Lahaul-Spiti recorded the lowest minimum temperature at minus 5.1 degrees Celsius.
