A fresh western disturbance is set to become active over Himachal Pradesh and will be impacting the state’s weather over the next four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in high-altitude areas on April 16 and 17. However, widespread rainfall is forecast for April 18 and 19, with April 19 expected to witness particularly heavy showers.
Warning for hailstorm, thunderstorm
The department has also issued warnings for hailstorms, thunderstorms, and strong winds in some areas during this period.
While the weather on Monday (April 14, 2025) is predicted to remain clear across the state, residents and tourists alike should prepare for a sudden change in the coming days.
Following recent snowfall and rain, Himachal Pradesh experienced a sharp drop in temperature just two days ago. However, the last 24 hours have brought a noticeable rise.
Kalpa saw the highest temperature jump with an increase of 10.6°C, bringing the maximum temperature to 19.2°C.
Other notable temperature hikes include Manali by up by 8.1°C to 22.8°C, Keylong up by 7.2°C to 16.7°C, Shimla up by 6.6°C to 23.2°C and Solan up by 7.8°C to reach 28°C.
