Himachal Congress chief Pratibha Singh to embark on special mission from March 19, first stop Mandi

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president and former Mandi MP Pratibha Singh is set to embark on a statewide tour to strengthen the party’s grassroots network.


Pratibha Singh aims to boost the morale of party workers and ensure a strong counter to any propaganda by the opposition BJP. As part of this initiative, she will hold direct interactions with party leaders and workers across all districts.

Four-day tour in Mandi till March 22

In the first phase of her tour, Pratibha Singh will visit Mandi district from March 19 to 22. During this time, she will conduct meetings with Congress leaders and workers, discussing key organisational matters.


She emphasised that party workers form the backbone of any organisation, and as the state president, it is her primary responsibility to empower them, address their concerns and work towards their welfare.

Key meetings across Assembly segments

On March 19, Pratibha Singh will depart from Shimla at 11 am for Mandi. After attending a private event in Sundernagar, she will stay overnight in Mandi.


On March 20, she will hold discussions with party leaders and workers from Mandi Sadar, Drang, Jogindernagar, Seraj and Balh constituencies.


On March 21, she will engage with party functionaries from Sundernagar, Nachan, Sarkaghat, Dharampur and Karsog constituencies. She will stay overnight in Sundernagar.


On March 22, she will attend the annual function of Dreams Group of Institutes in Nachan as the chief guest before returning to Shimla.


Pratibha Singh reiterated that strengthening the party’s cadre was her top priority. By personally interacting with grassroots workers, she aims to reinvigorate the Congress ahead of upcoming political challenges. The tour is expected to lay the groundwork for forming new party committees in the state.
