Continuing its campaign against narcotics and illegal liquor, the Nurpur Police District has taken decisive action in Jawali.
Case Details
On August 9, 2026, at around 6:10 PM, a police team from Jawali Police Station raided the residence of Payal alias Shalu (wife of Shankar), aged 38 years in village Bhagal, Tehsil Jawali, following a tip-off.
During the raid, the team recovered 20 litres of illicit, home-brewed liquor. No valid permit or license was produced for the possession of the liquor.
An FIR has been registered at Jawali Police Station under Section 39(1)(A) of the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. Further investigation and legal proceedings are underway.
