In a determined crackdown against illegal mining, the Damtal Police Station team under Nurpur Police District carried out swift and effective action today.
Case Details
On August 10, 2026, Damtal police received information that unauthorized mining was taking place on the land of Thakur Ram Gopal Temple in the Chakki area. Acting immediately, the police team reached the site and found one Poklane machine and two tipper trucks engaged in excavation and loading of mining material.
Following the complaint, FIR No. 131/2026 was registered at Damtal Police Station against unidentified persons under:
- BNSS Sections 303(2) & 3(5)
- Mines & Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, Section 21
The investigation is currently underway.
