Nurpur Police Arrests Another Accused in 1.210 kg Charas Case Through Backward Linkage Investigation

Nurpur Police continues its intensified crackdown against narcotics under the ongoing special campaign. In a significant development, police have arrested another accused in connection with FIR No. 41/26 dated 13.04.2026 registered at Police Station Rehan under Sections 20, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act. The arrest was made during the course of a detailed investigation focusing on backward linkages.

Details of the Arrested Accused:

  • Name: Shukrdeen, son of Shri Baghu
  • Resident: Village Talesha, Post Office Jadera, Tehsil & District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh
  • Age: 35 years

It is noteworthy that earlier, police had arrested two accused—Robin and Yusuf, residents of District Chamba—with the recovery of 1.210 kilograms of charas. Pursuing the investigation further, police utilized technical analysis, human intelligence, and multi-dimensional inquiry to establish backward linkages, leading to the arrest of the third accused.

Nurpur Police has reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling the roots of the narcotics network. The investigation is being carried out with utmost seriousness to identify and prosecute all individuals involved in this illegal trade. Authorities have made it clear that no person engaged in drug trafficking will be spared, and strict legal action will continue against such elements.
