BJP leader and social worker Munish Sharma stated that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act is a true gift for women, describing it as a blessing for strengthening women’s empowerment.
Government Initiative
He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled this commitment by ensuring the Act’s implementation. To advance this, the government convened a three-day all-party meeting in Parliament starting April 16.
Women’s Participation
Sharma emphasized that women are excelling in every field, and their rightful share in decision-making is essential. He expressed gratitude to the BJP’s top leadership for prioritizing women’s empowerment.
Campaign Efforts
He further mentioned that a missed call campaign was launched by the Prime Minister to promote the Act. However, he noted that Kangra BJP leaders showed little interest in it. In contrast, Sharma and his team recently mobilized 9,000 missed calls under this campaign.
Local Context
Highlighting the strength of women voters, Sharma pointed out that the Kangra constituency has a significant female population, who consistently ensure their participation in every election.
